Healing Through Story
I believe every person's story matters, and within each lies the power for transformation.
As a therapist, author, and speaker, I've witnessed countless individuals discover hope and healing through the honest exploration of their stories. While the journey through trauma and heartache is challenging, I've seen the extraordinary power of redemption when we dare to look deeper.

Who I am
I am a self diagnosed 3 on the Enneagram, a mother of 6 and 8 year old boys, and a wife to a mountaineer/farmer/therapist.
I love dogs and horses and I come alive around water. Lakes, oceans, rivers, creeks, swamps - you name it, I love it.
Grounded in hope, yet honest about pain
Our world is beautifully broken, and none of us have escaped unscathed. Through Story Work, I help individuals and communities acknowledge their wounds while discovering the brilliant ways they've survived.
This methodology, developed over 15 years, creates space for both grieving what's been lost and embracing the possibility of renewal.
At my core, I am a guide and witness to the transformative work of healing and restoration.
Professional and Personal
With an MACP from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and as co-founder of The Allender Center, I bring both academic rigor and lived experience to this work.
As a mother, wife, and fellow traveler on this journey, I understand the messy reality of growth and healing. My co-authored book "Redeeming Heartache" emerged from both professional expertise and personal conviction.
Bridging worlds
My work exists at the intersection of psychological insight and spiritual transformation.
Whether leading intimate therapy sessions or speaking to conference audiences, I integrate clinical expertise with spiritual wisdom. I'm passionate about creating spaces where healing can flourish, whether that's in a counseling room, a workshop setting, or around a dinner table with family (where I'm still optimistically teaching my boys the art of cleaning up after themselves).
We are all a work in progress.
